Tilt-tray container delivery is fast and precise, but the site has to suit the truck. Here's what to check before delivery day.
How Tilt-Tray Container Delivery Works
A tilt tray delivers a container by backing up to the placement spot, tilting the deck to the ground, and sliding the container off under winch control. It's precise — we can set a container down level and square — but it needs room to work.
What Your Site Needs
Before delivery day, check these five things:
- Access — a clear path wide enough for the truck to drive in and back up
- Length — enough straight room behind the placement spot for the tilted deck
- Ground — reasonably firm and level so the container sits true and the truck doesn't bog
- Overhead clearance — no low wires, branches or eaves over the approach
- Placement spot — clearly marked, with footings or timbers ready if needed
